Bryce Young sets crazy Panthers franchise record to further confuse QB future plans image

Every time it seems like it's time to be out on Bryce Young, he does something impressive.

The Carolina Panthers' former No. 1 overall pick had the best quarterback day in franchise history on Sunday in a 30-27 overtime win over the Atlanta Falcons.

No one had ever thrown for more yards in a Panthers uniform than the 448 passing yards Young put up on Sunday.

He did that on 31-for-45 passing while tossing three TDs.

It's very confusing, really.

Young sometimes looks like he doesn't belong as a starting quarterback.

And sometimes he looks brilliant.

He likely isn't ever going to be a top-five QB.

But can he be a long-term starter? That's what Carolina would love to answer.

Right now, Young oscillates back and forth as much as any quarterback in the NFL. But there's still hope, apparently.
