The Buffalo Bills won't have wide receiver Keon Coleman on the field for the Week 11 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Bills announced Coleman will be inactive for the contest, and based on the fact that he wasn't dealing with an injury during the week, it's obvious that Coleman is a healthy scratch, which was first reported by Cover 1.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter and Alaina Getzenberg, the reason behind Coleman's inactive status has to do with his missing a team meeting on Friday morning.

"Source: Bills WR Keon Coleman is inactive today because he missed a team meeting Friday morning," Schefter reported. "Until then, the Bills planned to play him, but their plans changed when he missed the meeting.

After entering the season with a ton of hype, Coleman has had a very disappointing season thus far and has failed to take the step forward the Bills were expecting.

This isn't the first time Coleman has been benched for disciplinary reasons, as the Bills sat him for the first series in a game earlier this season and for a quarter in Coleman's rookie campaign after he failed to be on time.

“We expect more,” head coach Sean McDermott said of benching Coleman. “He has shown growth this year. (But) we’re looking for more consistency.”

Since then, Coleman has continued to be lackluster, hence the motivation to make him a healthy scratch. Hopefully this will be the wake-up call the second-year wideout needs to get his career on track, but we wouldn't hold our breath for that.

The decision to sit Coleman comes on the heels of the Bills elevating Gabe Davis and promoting Mecole Hardman, both of whom figure to have a role in Week 11.

As for Coleman, it is fair to say his standing with the Bills is on shaky ground, as it should be after what we've seen of him in 2025.
