The Buffalo Bills, through the first month of the NFL season, were bulletproof, going 4-0 with many thinking the AFC East would be a cakewalk and that Sean McDermott's team would be a lock for the No. 1 seed.

Oh, how times have changed.

Now losing back-to-back games, many people, including fans and media, are skeptical of Buffalo, as if a good team can't have a poor couple of weeks. Sitting at 4-2 entering the bye week isn't exactly a bad spot to be, so maybe those who are losing their minds might want to just take a deep breath and relax.

Because that's what Josh Allen is doing.

"I think we were three and two last year, sitting at four and two going into a bye-week,” Allen said. “At any point, you can have a winning season, almost halfway through the year. I know we're not quite halfway, but I think you'll take those odds.”

Bills still in good shape despite loss

Allen was right, last year, the Bills were 3-2 after the loss to the Houston Texans and then rattled off seven straight wins before the 44-42 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, so it is hardly panic stations right now.

But still, back-to-back losses aren't great, especially when you have to now sit on those losses in the bye week, but this Buffalo team will get its game in order.

It is early in the season, and the Bills are 4-2, leaving plenty of room to grow as the year progresses. With the Carolina Panthers up first post-bye and then the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo will have a chance to further enhance its Super Bowl aspirations.

Right now, dark clouds hang over the franchise, but this Bills team is more than capable of weathering the storm.
