Damar Hamlin remains one of the most well-known defensive players in the league.
After the Buffalo Bills' safety had his scary on-field collapse a few years ago, then came back to play in the NFL again, he's been a fan favorite and a well-supported player.
Every time the Bills play in a national game, Hamlin's presence looms.
Except lately, Hamlin hasn't been playing.

Where is Damar Hamlin?
Damar Hamlin is on Injured Reserve.
He's been out for weeks now with a pectoral injury.
Even before his absence, Hamlin wasn't playing a ton. Cole Bishop had usurped Hamlin's role on the field.
But the Bills were still finding ways to use Hamlin on special teams and in occasional packages, and he was reliable depth.
Buffalo now is facing multiple injuries at the safety position, so not having Hamlin hurts.
It's not clear if he can make it back this season or not.
But for now, the Bills are playing on without Hamlin.
