The Buffalo Bills are fighting for a playoff spot in a highly competitive AFC, and they picked up one of their biggest victories of the season over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 14.
With their win over Cincinnati, the Bills are now 9-4 and have inched a bit closer to the New England Patriots in the AFC East. Buffalo has also put themselves in a prime position to clinch a playoff spot in the coming weeks.
AFC East standings
1. New England Patriots (11-2, Week 14 bye)
2. Buffalo Bills (9-4)
3. Miami Dolphins (6-7)
4. New York Jets (3-10)
With their win in Week 14, Buffalo is now just two games back from New England in the division. Both teams will meet next Sunday in Week 15, where the Bills could sweep the Patriots and make things very interesting in the AFC East.
AFC playoff picture
Buffalo's playoff chances have increased to 95% with their win over Cincinnati. The Bills have also moved up to the No.5 seed in the AFC, though that could change, as the Los Angeles Chargers still have to play the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 14.
As previously mentioned, the Bills and Patriots will square off in the biggest game of the season for either team. A victory for Buffalo would put them back into AFC East contention, but a win for New England would put Mike Vrabel's squad on the brink of a division title.
