The Buffalo Bills know exactly what is at stake on Sunday when they travel to take on the New England Patriots in Week 15.

With the Bills at 9-4 and the Patriots 11-2 having already beaten Buffalo this season, Sean McDermott's team has to win to have any chance at the AFC East crown, something they've held for the past five seasons.

It won't be easy with Mike Vrabel's team in superb form of late, but the Bills have been building something over the past few weeks.

But can the Bills beat the Patriots and extend the AFC East battle for another week? CBS Sports' Pete Prisco thinks so and predicts a 30-28 win for Buffalo.

"The Patriots are coming off a bye, while the Bills are coming off a come-from-behind victory over the Bengals," Prisco writes. "Josh Allen was Josh Allen in that one and that's the way it has to be for the Bills to win. He wasn't the last time these teams met, which is why the Patriots won. This time will be different. Allen wins it with his usual big plays."

Bills need near-perfect performance vs. Patriots

Prisco's score prediction is an interesting one.

Not because he has the Bills scoring 30 points, something we all know they can do on any given week, but because the Patriots haven't given up any more than 27 points in a game this season (Week 2 vs. The Dolphins).

In the last three games, the Patriots have allowed 20+ points just once, so the Bills' offense, led by Josh Allen, is going to have to come up with a plan to move the ball down the field and score points, because this has all the makings of a defensive slugfest.

The AFC East is on the line at Gillette Stadium, and if the Bills can walk in and slay the Patriots, that will say a lot about McDermott's team heading into the postseason, and it will also bring the Bills to within a game of New England for the division as well.

Buckle up, folks.
