The Buffalo Bills can contribute to ending the Kansas City Chiefs' playoff hopes on Sunday.

You know Bills Mafia would be fired up about that.

The Bills, of course, aren't playing the Chiefs. Buffalo travels to New England to take on the Patriots in Week 15, while the Chiefs are home against the Chargers.

But there's one scenario on Sunday that officially eliminates the Chiefs, and the Bills are a part of it.

It looks like this:

  • Chargers win vs. Chiefs
  • Bills win or tie vs. Patriots
  • Jaguars win or tie vs. Jets
  • Texans win vs. Cardinals

If all four of those things happen, the Chiefs are done.

The Bills, Jags and Texans are all favored in their games, although Buffalo only by a slim margin. That suggests it's not impossible that this all could happen on Sunday.

Buffalo has been one of the AFC's best teams for a half-decade now but been unable to get past the Chiefs in the playoffs.

If the Chiefs aren't even in the playoffs, though, the Bills' chances would feel increased.

Kansas City is just 6-7 right now. The playoffs are a longshot even if they win in Week 15.

But man, Bills fans would love a big win over the Patriots that also helps eliminate the Chiefs.
