Matt Prater injury update: What Bills roster moves mean for kicker's playoff status image

The Buffalo Bills entered the weekend with a question mark in kicker Matt Prater.

Prater, who is dealing with a right quad issue that previously forced him to miss two games, is listed as questionable to play for the wild-card game versus the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

Prater did manage to log a full practice on Thursday after suffering the injury in Week 18, but that was sandwiched between two practices in which Prater didn't take part.

On Saturday, the Bills made some roster moves that all but confirm Prater's status for the contest against Jacksonville.

On Saturday afternoon, the Bills announced that they have elevated defensive end Andre Jones Jr. And running back Frank Gore Jr. From the practice squad.

With the Bills not elevating kicker Matthew Wright, that means Buffalo fully expects Prater to suit up on Sunday against the Jaguars.

This is obviously fantastic news for the Bills, as the last thing Buffalo wanted to do was go into a playoff game with a new kicker off the street.

The Bills saw how badly that can go when Prater missed two games recently due to a quadriceps issue. His replacement, Michael Badgley, struggled in Prater's absence.
