Buffalo Bills receiver Keon Coleman must have been thinking his days with the AFC East franchise were numbered after owner Terry Pegula's comments a week or so ago.

With the young receiver struggling in his second season, after Pegula's comments, many thought Keon was on a one-way ticket out of Buffalo.

But with Joe Brady hired as head coach, Keon, it appears, has a second chance with the Bills.

And at Brady's introductory press conference, Brady made it clear that Keon has a future in Buffalo.

"The best thing to ever happen to Keon Coleman is me being his head coach," Brady said via Carl Jones of News4 Buffalo.

Then it was "Keon Coleman is going to be on our football team," via Matthew Bove.

So those are two definitive statements from Brady and Coleman.

Then came this from Josh Allen.

"He will come back from that. I won't give up on 0," Allen said. "He's got too much ability, we're going to work tirelessly, him and me, and as well as everybody else in this building to make sure that whenever we step foot on the field, we're going to find ways to win football games and he's going to be a part of that."

Coleman set for Year 3 breakout?

Well, that would be the hope, right?

After an up-and-down first two seasons, with Brady as head coach as well as offensive coordinator, Coleman will surely benefit from that continuity.

The talent is there; it is all about finding consistency in his game, and with one of the best quarterbacks in football, along with a top offensive mind in Brady, Keon is in a great spot.

No, it hasn't been good in his first two seasons, but Year 3? It feels like the time for Coleman to take that next step.

He's got the backing from his quarterback and head coach.

That's all he needs to prove the doubters wrong.
