The Buffalo Bills are trying to figure out what has sent the team into a bit of a spiral with three losses in their last five games, and one of the reasons is surprising: Josh Allen's turnovers.
Allen threw only six interceptions on his way to his first MVP award in 2024, but he has already exceeded that mark in 2025 after a pair of first-half picks against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
Turnovers bit Allen in 2023, when he threw a career-worst 18 interceptions even as the Bills won the AFC East, but there isn't much room for effort this time around with the New England Patriots boasting a decisive lead atop the division.
Here's a look at how Allen's turnover troubles have popped up again in recent games.

Josh Allen interceptions
Allen turned the ball over twice for the second consecutive week in Week 11, tossing two interceptions in the first half against the Buccaneers.
The first turnover of the day from Allen came on an interception by Jacob Parrish deep in Bills territory, though Tampa Bay was unable to turn it into anything more than a field goal.

Allen's second interception was deflected, but it appeared to first be touched by the Buccaneers. SirVocea Dennis came down with it, but the Bills' defense forced a punt on the ensuing Buccaneers drive.

Allen previously threw an interception and lost a fumble in a Week 10 loss to the Miami Dolphins.
Sunday marked the second multi-interception game of Allen's season, as he tossed a pair of picks in Buffalo's prime-time loss to the Falcons in Week 6. That was the Bills' second consecutive defeat in a stretch of three losses in five games.
Allen's second interception against the Buccaneers marked his seventh of the season, beating his total from the 2024 season. 2024 was an outlier, however. Allen threw double-digit interceptions each season from 2020-23, averaging more than 14 per year. If the Bills were winning, they could live with the turnovers — after three losses in five games, they may have to find a way to reel them in.
