Josh Allen injury update: Latest news on Bills quarterback's status in Week 2 game image

The Buffalo Bills have an injury concern with quarterback Josh Allen in the first half of the Week 2 game against the New York Jets.

Allen was tackled by a Jets defender in the first quarter and appeared to take a shot in the face. He was removed from the game for the time being and was replaced by backup quarterback Mitch Trubisky.

Before his exit, Allen completed just 3-of-8 passes for 14 yards and had two carries for 40 yards with the Bills ahead 10-0.

UPDATE: ESPN's Alaina Getzenberg reports that Allen has his helmet on and is throwing on the sideline. It would appear he's going back into the game.

Getzenberg adds that Allen had a bloody nose, but he looks to be fine otherwise.

According to Bills beat writer Sal Maiorana, it appears Allen got hit in the face. He was spotted going into the medical tent upon exiting the field.
