Will Josh Allen have input into Bills' next HC? image

The Buffalo Bills are now on the head coaching hunt after firing Sean McDermott.

With owner Terry Pegula stating in a press conference with Brandon Beane that Josh Allen had no input into the decision to let McDermott go, that alone raised questions.

Surely you consult your MVP quarterback that you are going to move on from his head coach, right?

Well, apparently not.

But ESPN's Peter Schrager says that Allen will be a key player in Buffalo's head coach search.

"Josh Allen is going to play a major role in not only consulting, but selecting the next head coach of the Buffalo Bills," Schrager said on NFL Live. "That could lead to a Pandora's box, or it could be, this is the face of our franchise, and the window is only yay big, we want him to have input."

Bills must of offensive in coach hire

You could make the case that Joe Brady, Buffalo's current OC, is the right candidate for the Bills.

He has already worked with Allen, made him an MVP, plus the offense is one of the best in football.

Those are big ticks.

Everyone in the organization knows him, and the Bills' next head coach surely has to be one who can get the most out of Allen, right? That could be Brady.

Of course, Brian Daboll is another candidate who has interviewed for the job, and he has a good relationship with Allen, too.

Either way, the Bills simply have to hire a head coach with Allen in mind.

And they will. Why? Because Allen will be doing the picking.
