The Buffalo Bills and their offense got back on track in a massive way against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bills put up 44 points in a back-and-forth showcase between two Super Bowl hopefuls, and their MVP quarterback was especially spectacular.
Josh Allen had three passing touchdowns and three rushing touchdowns in the game. This is only the second time a player has done such a thing in NFL history. The other? Josh Allen in 2024 against the Los Angeles Rams. This time, however, it came in a win.
Those three rushing touchdowns give Allen 75 for his career, which ties Cam Newton for the most rushing scores for a quarterback in NFL history. Considering that the previous record holder was Steve Young at 43 before Newton shattered it. Now, Allen is one score away from being the lone holder of the record, and legitimately could finish his career with 100 rushing touchdowns.
The Bills won't have much time to celebrate the win, or Allen's historic day, as they'll take on the Houston Texans on Thursday night. The Bills lost in Houston in 2024, and the Texans are coming off a last-second win over the Tennessee Titans.
