Josh Allen has turned his career around in the past 24 months, as the Buffalo Bills' gunslinger has evolved into a quarterback who still takes those shots but doesn't turn the ball over.
Just six interceptions last season as part of Joe Brady's offense, the biggest shift for Allen has been the "everybody eats" mentality, where he isn't forced to feed one specific player - whoever is open gets the ball.
That sort of distributing has seen the Bills become a far more dangerous offense, and when it comes to whether or not Allen reeling in his turnovers has been a thing of emphasis, he says you can look at it in a variety of ways.
“I think if you look at it from a few different scopes,” Allen said. “You have Joe Brady, James Cook, and our offensive line, and then you have our skill guys. Having a guy like Khalil [Shakir] and Dalton [Kincaid] that you can rely on, then we have opportunities outside with Keon [Coleman], Josh [Palmer], and Curtis [Samuel]. Just that whole everybody eats mentality that Joe's allowed us to take over has allowed me to be free and not worry about so much where the ball's going.
"I'm just trying to do what I'm being asked to do, and that's again take care of the football and score points.”

Josh Allen gunning for back-to-back MVPs
One could say Josh is off to the perfect start, and as long as he keeps this level of play going for the whole year, which is a tough thing to accomplish, he will be in the conversation. The Bills are Super Bowl favorites, so if Allen gets his team to the No. 1 seed, then he will likely have played well, and his numbers will reflect that.
Right now, there aren't too many quarterbacks playing better than him, if any, and yes, there will be dips in form, but as we saw last season, Allen's don't last long at all. With a relatively easy schedule coming up, Buffalo could be 7-0 ahead of their Week 9 clash against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Win that, and the MVP could nearly be within his grasp.
But make no mistake, the MVP isn't what Allen wants; he wants a Super Bowl, and this season feels like Buffalo's time to finally break through and achieve it, with him playing "free" being a big reason why it's obtainable.
