We know that success in the NFL isn't linear, and Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid is proof of that.
After a stellar rookie season, Kincaid was supposed to elevate himself into the upper echelon of tight ends in football in 2024, but injuries and poor form saw him post worse numbers than he did in his rookie season.
But now, a healthy Kincaid is proving what an asset he can be to Joe Brady's offense, posting at least four receptions and 37 yards in each game this season, as he looks on track to become the main weapon Buffalo thought he would be.
Oh, and when you have Josh Allen throwing you the football, yeah, you're in luck.
“I feel like we're in a good spot,” Allen said of his connection with Dalton. “Obviously, continuing to grow every day, coming out here practicing and making sure we're still communicating, and stay on the same page. The guy always finds himself in good positions. He does everything the right way. He's following the football, he's doing a good job of catching the ball, and scoring.
"We love when we can rely on somebody that when you throw it up, they're going to come down with it.”

Is Dalton Kincaid a top tight end in football?
He's certainly on his way, but looking at the other tight ends, Dalton has a little way to go, but he's on the right track.
He would likely need a season better than his rookie year to be considered one of the better tight ends, and the way Buffalo plays on offense might be a little detrimental, too, with James Cook and the run game a big piece of what the Bills do.
But make no mistake, there is a Pro Bowl in Kincaid's future, and yeah, it might be this year if he continues on his current trajectory. Already tied for his career-high in touchdowns (two), Kincaid could be set to have his breakout season in 2025, and considering how potent the Bills' offense is, opportunities will be coming his way.
Is Kincaid in a good spot? You better believe it.
