The Buffalo Bills wanted Darius Slay for these big games.

But while the Bills were playing in Jacksonville on Wild Card Weekend, Slay was wearing jeans in Philadelphia to watch the Eagles play the San Francisco 49ers.

It's been a wild saga.

Slay played the 2024 season with the Eagles and won the Super Bowl.

He came to the Pittsburgh Steelers for 2025.

Partway through the season, the Steelers waived Slay, and the Bills claimed him.

Except Slay refused to report.

The Bills lost cornerback Ja'Marcus Ingram to make room, then never even got Slay.

Eventually, they placed him on the reserve/did not report list. Which is all well and gone, except they had a depleted secondary because Slay chose to just not show up.

It's really pretty lame by Slay.

And it's brutally unfortunate for Buffalo.

He probably should avoid ever showing up in Western New York. He'd likely be greeted by more than a few boos.
