Could the Buffalo Bills bring back Brian Daboll to help fix offense? image

The Buffalo Bills suffered one of the most embarrassing losses of the Sean McDermott era, letting the Miami Dolphins walk all over them in a 30-13 defeat. Offensively, the Bills could get nothing going in the passing game, as Josh Allen had over 3.5 seconds to throw, yet they could only muster 13 points.

These offensive issues have brought Bills Mafia to be heavily critical of offensive coordinator Joe Brady, as well as head coach Sean McDermott and general manager Brandon Beane for the lackluster roster that has been built. However, the Bills could bring in another voice in the room to help the offense get back on track.

The Bills should bring Brian Daboll back

The New York Giants parted ways with head coach Brian Daboll after a 2-8 start. The Giants lost to the Chicago Bears after holding a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter. Considering how successful Josh Allen and the offense were under Daboll's command from 2018-21, bringing him back in a consultant role makes too much sense to not happen.

If it were to happen, it would be very similar to the Matt LaFleur bringing Robert Saleh in as an offensive consultant for the Green Bay Packers last season after he was fired by the New York Jets. Considering the issues Buffalo currently has on offense, bringing in Daboll to help make it more explosive - the same way it was when he was calling the plays for Allen - should happen, and it should happen this week.

Get Daboll in the building to collaborate with the rest of the offensive staff to help open up the passing game while also leaning a bit more into Josh Allen as a designed runner. It could be the difference between getting over the hump and remaining in the same spot they've been in for the last half decade.
