The Buffalo Bills defense had a notably bad performance against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1, allowing 432 yards of offense and over 230 yards rushing. That said, one of their veteran defenders had a terrific outing.
Defensive tackle Ed Oliver, registering six tackles, three tackles for loss, and the crucial forced fumble on Derrick Henry that led to a Bills touchdown late in the game. Unfortunately for the Bills, they could be without Oliver in Week 2 against the New York Jets, as he was on the injury report with an ankle injury.
"Bills DT Ed Oliver was added to the team’s injury report today with an ankle injury and did not practice," ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. "Oliver was spotted in a walking boot."
If the Bills will be without Oliver, that doesn't bode well for their run defense that was carved up in Week 1, as the Jets' run game had a terrific week against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
