The Buffalo Bills are heading towards their second preseason game of the 2025 season where they will travel to Chicago to take on the Bears on Sunday. Ahead of that, though, the Bills have made a defensive addition to their secondary.
The Bills are signing veteran safety Tre Herndon, the team announced. Herndon has bounced around the league in recent memory. He appeared in just one game in 2024 with the New Orleans Saints. Prior to that, he was signed by the New York Giants ahead of the 2024 season before being released. At the end of July, he was signed by the Indianapolis Colts, but released shortly after.
Herndon is best known for his long tenure with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He played 11 games with the team in 2018 as an undrafted free agent out of Vanderbilt. In 2019, he had three interceptions, which was his best season. He has appeared in 84 games across seven seasons.
