Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has had quite the year. The superstar signal-caller put together his fifth consecutive 40-touchdown season, which is an NFL record, and he led the Bills to the AFC Championship Game for the second time. Allen's efforts led to him winning his first NFL MVP award. Now, Allen could be set to add more trophies to his collection.
Allen has been nominated for two ESPY awards - Best Male Athlete and Best NFL Player. The other nominees for Best Male Athlete are Oklahoma City Thunder guard and NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani, and Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley. The nominees for Best NFL Player are Allen, Barkley, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, and Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II.
It feels inevitable that Allen will win at least one of these awards, meaning he will have more hardware to bring home. However, with the NFL season on the horizon, the only trophy that matters is the Lombardi Trophy.
