One of the top priorities for the Buffalo Bills’ front office this offseason – in addition to finding a new head coach after firing Sean McDermott – is to add some additional offensive weapons around star quarterback Josh Allen.

One way to accomplish that would be via trade.

Bills predicted to trade for Eagles star A.J. Brown

In a recent article, ESPN’s Benjamin Solak predicts that the Bills will make a major splash over the offseason by trading for star wide receiver A.J. Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for a return that includes a first-round pick.

From Solak:

"A year after Brandon Beane's emphatic statement that they didn't need a WR1 went over disastrously, Buffalo will tilt and get aggressive. The Bills will trade a first-round pick and then some for Philadelphia's A.J. Brown, believing he can be the final player to push their offense over the edge."

Brown, who has been the subject of much trade speculation over the past year, would obviously represent a major upgrade for the Bills in the receiving department. He’s had at least 1,000 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in each of the last four seasons. However, it remains to be seen if the Eagles will actually make him available.

When asked about the possibility of trading Brown in a recent press conference, Eagles general manager Howie Roseman didn’t completely dismiss the possibility, but he did make it sound unlikely.

“We talked about this, I think at the trade deadline, last time I talked,” Roseman said. “It’s hard to find great players in the NFL and A.J.’s a great player. I think from my perspective that’s what we’re going out and looking for, when we go out in free agency and the Draft, is trying to find great players who love football and he’s that guy. So that would be my answer.”

If the Eagles do ultimately make Brown available in trade talks, the Bills should absolutely inquire about acquiring the star receiver.
