The Buffalo Bills have made a decision on running back James Cook for the Week 10 game against the Miami Dolphins.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott revealed on Friday that Cook is good to go for the AFC East showdown with Miami, according to NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe.

No surprise here, as Cook told Kay Adams on Thursday that he would indeed suit up despite being a non-participant and limited over the first two days of the week.

"I'm ready to go," Cook told Adams. "I'm gonna be out there when it's time to play on Sunday."

Cook initially tweaked his ankle in the Week 9 win over the Kansas City Chiefs, but he was able to return to the contest after exiting, which was the first sign he would be OK.

Cook is on an absolute heater this season, with the former second-round pick on pace to shatter his career-high in rushing yards, as he's just 255 yards shy of that mark with nine games left to play entering Week 10.

The only thing stopping Cook from putting up bigger numbers both in the run and passing games is his usage. Cook is seeing a career-high 61% of snaps in 2025, but that's only 6% more than his previous career-high in 2023.

There are still far too many times where Buffalo goes away from Cook for stretches, and he still isn't utilized enough on third downs.

We'll see if that changes in the weeks and months ahead, but we wouldn't count on it because it has been a thing for his entire career, likely with the goal of keeping him fresh for the playoff run.
