The Buffalo Bills have officially finished up their exhibition slate of games and their preseason is over. Next time they take the field, it will be in Buffalo on Sunday Night Football when they host the Baltimore Ravens.
Between now and then, though, the Bills will have to trim their roster down to 53 players, and one wide receiver who was on the fringe last season has done all he can to make the Week 1 depth chart.
Tyrell Shavers has had a terrific summer, and put an exclamation point on his work with an outstanding one-handed touchdown grab against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Speaking after the game, Shavers was asked if he thinks he did enough to make the roster.
"I do," Shavers said. "But I thought the same thing last year. Just put it up and leave it in God's hands. I have big trust, big faith in Him, but we'll see where it goes from here."
Shavers had one catch in 2024 - a 69-yard touchdown against the Jets in Week 17.
