Are Brandin Cooks, Keon Coleman playing today? Latest updates on Buffalo Bills WRs image

The Buffalo Bills desperately need their wide receivers to step up after what has been a disappointing season for the room thus far.

Perhaps the biggest disappointment has been second-year wideout Keon Coleman, who has not taken the step forward the team hoped he would. In fact, Coleman has regressed, and he has even been benched twice for disciplinary reasons.

To address their need at wide receiver, the Bills signed veteran Brandin Cooks, who was recently cut by the New Orleans Saints.

Will Cooks make his Bills debut in Week 13? And will we see Coleman return to the lineup after being a healthy scratch the last two weeks?

Let's find out.

Is Brandin Cooks playing today?

Yes, Cooks is expected to play on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

While Cooks will be on the field, we wouldn't expect him to play a full complement of snaps, as he's had less than a week to learn the playbook and develop chemistry with quarterback Josh Allen.

But any semblance of a contribution would be great news for Buffalo's passing attack and offense overall.

Is Keon Coleman playing today?

Coleman's two-game absence will end this week, per Rapoport.

"The Bills expect both WRs Brandin Cooks and Keon Coleman to play today, though both OTs are out," Rapoport said.

Coleman was benched the last two games for being late to a team meeting.

The hope is this will wake Coleman up and get him going for the stretch run of the season. Buffalo could certainly use the boost from a player they expected to become Allen's No. 1 target in 2025.
