The Buffalo Bills are on their way to clinching a playoff berth, and are still in the race to win the AFC East for the sixth consecutive season after defeating the New England Patriots 35-31 in Week 15.
One of the many underlying plots for the Bills' season - and, really, the last two seasons - has been their lack of a reliable No. 1 receiver for Josh Allen to throw to. Buffalo has yet to fully replenish the production and star power they lost when they traded Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans in April of 2024, and it has come back to haunt them on multiple occasions. Now gearing up for another postseason run, will the lack of an elite No. 1 target rear its ugly head once again? If it does, it would be beyond time for Brandon Beane to take a massive swing and trade for a star wideout - and a recent trade proposal from FanDuel has history repeating itself.
The sports betting powerhouse put out a graphic on its social media proposing that the Bills trade for Minnesota Vikings star Justin Jefferson. In the proposal, the Bills send two first-round picks, a 2027 seventh-round pick, and wide receiver Keon Coleman to the Vikings in exchange for Jefferson and a 2027 sixth-round pick.

Should Buffalo & Minnesota make this trade over the offseason?#BillsMafia | #SKOL pic.twitter.com/Q2QPl8OUuS
Jefferson is going through the worst season of his career amidst the quarterback struggles in Minnesota. Jefferson has just 66 catches for 832 yards and two touchdowns. Even in his injury-shortened 2023 season, Jefferson has never caught fewer than five touchdowns in a season.
Jefferson has never been an outspoken receiver, which is a rarity when it comes to big-time pass-catchers. However, his frustration has been evident as the Vikings have gone through several quarterbacks in 2025 all while trying to see if J.J. McCarthy is their guy long term. Should he want a fresh start with a contending team, every franchise would be on the phone to try and acquire him. While the money would be difficult to make work, the Bills should do all they can to fit it in their books if the opportunity does present itself to trade for Jefferson.
