The Buffalo Bills' biggest need, for most, is to figure out the receiver position for Josh Allen.
General manager Brandon Beane has swung and missed on several options, and now, with head coach Sean McDermott fired after another playoff loss, the time has come to finally fix it.
But how? And who?
The Bills have Khalil Shakir as Allen's go-to guy, while Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox are the other weapons Allen trusts.
For ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, he revealed that an NFL executive thinks the Bills should go after Philadelphia Eagles receiver A.J. Brown.
"The Bills have to upgrade there -- their best receiver is Khalil Shakir, who is a nice player but he's not a top guy," [external-article-link original_href="https://"The Bills have to upgrade there -- their best receiver is Khalil Shakir, who is a nice player but he's not a top guy," an NFL personnel evaluator said. Should Bills go after Brown?
The executive's thoughts on Brown are fine, but what is overlooked is the fit.
Brown has made it known several times this season that he's unhappy when he doen'ts get his catches.
Well, in Buffalo, that will be magnified because under Joe Brady (if he stays), the Bills have an "everybody eats" mantra. Meaning one player won't get 10 receptions every week, it's spread out.
Will Brown be ok with three catches one week, six the next, and maybe two the following week? I think we all know the answer to that.
Yes, Brown would give Allen a genuine No. 1 weapon, but I'm not exactly sure Brown would fit in Buffalo from a culture standpoint.
Happy to be proven wrong, though.
