One of the most compelling free agent bidding wars could come over Indianapolis Colts deep threat Alec Pierce.

Coming off an incredible campaign in which he averaged more than 22 yards per catch, Pierce is now on the open market.

He's expected to command more than $20 million per year on a new deal, and there are plenty of teams who could use wideout.

CBS Sports writer Zachary Perales lists four possible landing spots:

  • Washington Commanders
  • Pittsburgh Steelers
  • Las Vegas Raiders
  • Buffalo Bills

Perales points to the Commanders as the team he believes will get the deal over the line.

"Coach Dan Quinn and GM Adam Peters both expressed a desire to get younger and faster this offseason," Perales writes. "Pierce is young (25) and fast: He's led the NFL in yards per catch in consecutive seasons, and he became the first player since A.J. Brown in 2019 to go over 1,000 yards on at least 20 yards per catch."

With Washington, Pierce would pair with Terry McLaurin to give Jayden Daniels two great targets as Deebo Samuel departs in free agency himself.

The Bills could certainly use Pierce. They don't really have a WR1 for Josh Allen at the moment.

The Steelers have DK Metcalf as their top wideout but not much other talent at the position.

And the Raiders? They'd love to get a guy like Pierce to pair with presumed No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza.

The Colts might also want Pierce back to keep playing with Daniel Jones, so there's a lot that will likely be in play here.
