Bills' QB Josh Allen reveals why his faith keeps him believing in a Buffalo win in the Super Bowl image

Josh Allen is a believer.

You have to be to travel Allen's journey from a junior college to Wyoming all the way to the Buffalo Bills.

And you also have to be a believer to continue having faith in what's to come.

The Bills still haven't gotten over the Super Bowl hump, something that Allen has been asked about more times than he would care to count.

And yet, Allen still believes they can get there, and his faith is a big reason why.

"You have to continue to keep giving yourself chances, and I feel like, one thing that I've for sure learned this last offseason is trusting in God's timing," Allen told ESPN in a new feature story released on Thursday. "It's never wrong, and when it's meant to happen, it'll happen, and you just got to continue to keep putting yourselves in opportunities where it could happen."

The losses, as Bills fans know too well, have been painful.

There was "13 seconds," and that wasn't the only loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. And this past AFC Championship Game, Buffalo was probably literally one more made play away from advancing to the Super Bowl.

Allen won the MVP last season, but he doesn't care about that.

The Super Bowl isn't all-consuming in his mind, either. He's newly married. He has continued to gain perspective in his career.

But he's also a believer not just in himself but in his adopted community in Western New York. And he knows how much it would mean to Buffalo to bring the Lombardi Trophy home once and, emphasis on this, for all.

"Winning a Super Bowl doesn't change who I am or change my life either," Allen told ESPN. "But it's something that the city's wanted for a very long time and to feel like I can help be a piece that brings it here, that's more important to me than a singular trophy."
