The Buffalo Bills flexed their offensive muscle in the 41-40 win over the Baltimore Ravens in what could be an AFC Championship preview in Week 1, but now, Sean McDermott's team must refocus its mind.
In Week 2, the Bills face the New York Jets, an opponent considered less than, and we have already spoken of the mental challenge Buffalo will have to deal with after going through the highs of Baltimore to the "low" of playing the Jets.
Granted, it is a division game, and the Bills were 2-0 against the Jets last season, but anything can happen. For NFL.com's Tom Blair, nothing spectacular is expected at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.
“If 40 points wasn't enough for Lamar Jackson to hold off Josh Allen, how many would Fields have to score to feel safe? 50? 75? New York could put up a strong fight -- but it will end in a nice, normal win for the Bills," Blair wrote.

Bills must be wary of emotional letdown vs. Jets
The Ravens contest was built up to within an inch of its life with two AFC powerhouses clashing to open their seasons...and now we have the lowly Jets on the schedule.
Yes, Aaron Glenn's team was plucky against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and in truth, should have won that game, but Buffalo is a different animal.
Still, the Bills have to keep their eye on the prize here and can't allow the Jets to hang around into the fourth quarter. Curb-stomp them early to put any crazy idea of an upset in the rearview mirror.
Granted, it is easier said than done, but the Bills have to be careful of overlooking the Jets after what transpired against the Ravens. If Buffalo is the team we think they are, this contest will be handled with the sort of performance we saw last season in the 40-14 win in Week 17.
This is a banana skin game, Bills. Don't slip up.
