The Buffalo Bills defeated the Kansas City Chiefs for the fifth consecutive time in the regular season and improved to 6-2 on the season. The win also gave the Bills the head-to-head advantage over the Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens when it comes to playoff seeding. The win, though, didn't come without a cost.
Bills defensive lineman Michael Hoecht suffered a torn Achilles in the win. Hoecht made his Bills debut against the Carolina Panthers in Week 8 after serving a six-game suspension for PEDs, and he made an immediate impact. The Brown product had 1.5 sacks against the Panthers, and was in on a sack on Patrick Mahomes in Week 9 while looking like a very solid addition to the defensive line rotation. Hoecht had surgery on the Achilles, and provided fans with a positive update on X.
"Surgery went well," Hoecht writes. "Huge s/o to Dr. ElAttrache for putting me back together. Best in the business. Thank you to everyone who reached out, road to return starts now DGBGGBGB."
Buffalo faces the Miami Dolphins on Sunday as they look to get to 7-2 and once again sweep the Dolphins in the season series.
