The Buffalo Bills managed to hang 41 points on the Baltimore Ravens in their Week 1 win, and the fact that the performance was far from buttoned up should make the rest of the league nervous.
It took Josh Allen to turn into Superman to bring his team back from the brink. The fact that the Bills still managed to score so many points despite not playing up to their potential makes us think what this offense could look like moving forward once they get their feet underneath them.
And if teams were scared of Buffalo prior to Week 1, well, Khalil Shakir's comments on where the team is regarding its performance will send shivers down the spine.
“I mean, it's week one, it's not like we're week 15 where we've been going at it for a while,” Shakir said. “It's week one, we're just getting started. We got to make sure that we just keep building for a long season."

Bills prove Super Bowl credentials in Week 1
It's not like Buffalo had to prove to the NFL world who they were, but it's nice that it flexed its muscles so early.
Yes, being down 40-25 isn't great, and no doubt head coach Sean McDermott will look at that, but having Allen and the offense be able to score 22 fourth-quarter points against a Ravens defense that is known for its toughness is really something.
If the Bills, to Shakir's words, are "just getting started," then we pray for the teams coming up against the AFC East bullies in 2025.
Because it won't be for the faint-hearted.
