Bills' Brandin Cooks signing an ominous sign for Keon Coleman image

Buffalo Bills receiver Keon Coleman has been on the outer for the past two weeks after being disciplined for reportedly being late to a team meeting.

As a result, Coleman has been a healthy scratch for Buffalo's last two games as the organization tries to send a message to its young receiver that he needs to get his act together.

Well, on Tuesday, the Bills might have just sent the biggest and most ominous warning to Keon over his future with the franchise, as they signed free agent Brandin Cooks to the active roster.

What that now does to a Bills offense that is in desperate need of weapons, with Coleman sitting on the sidelines, is unknown, but it does seem that Cooks could take Coleman's spot in Joe Brady's offense.

Against the Texans, the Bills were without Mecole Hardman and Curtis Samuel, yet still chose to sit Coleman, which tells you all you need to know, and now with Cooks signing, Coleman is quickly learning that he might just be dispensable.

Is Keon Coleman's future in doubt?

This is an interesting one, and fans on social media want the franchise to part ways with Keon, but in truth, that isn't likely to happen.

Why? Because he is halfway through his second season, and is a cheap option. Teams rarely move on from cheap players so quickly, and plus, we have seen Keon show glimpses, so why not try to get the most out of him while you have him?

Buffalo's disciplining of Coleman and now the signing of Cooks is a clear message to the young receiver to get his game in order and come on as a receiver for Allen.

Offensive lineman Dion Dawkins stated he is in Keon's corner, but after the move to sign Cooks, is Buffalo?

That, my friends, is a serious conversation starter.
