After their massive comeback win over the New England Patriots on Sunday, the Buffalo Bills are on the brink of a return to the playoffs.

They're still a game back of the Pats in the AFC East Division, but at 10-4, the Bills are in strong position. There are actually two different ways they can clinch a playoff spot in Week 16.

The Bills travel west on I-90 to Cleveland to take on the Browns and Shedeur Sanders on Sunday.

The Browns don't have anything to play for but evaluation. The Bills still have everything to play for.

How can Bills clinch a playoff spot in Week 16?

There are two ways for the Bills to clinch a playoff spot in their Week 16 matchup with the Browns.

They are:

  • Win AND Texans loss to Raiders
  • OR
  • Win AND Colts loss to 49ers

Both of those games happen after the Bills' game this weekend, so if Buffalo wins, it'll have the potential to clinch a playoff berth while watching at home from the couch.

It seems highly unlikely that Houston loses to the 2-12 Raiders.

But the 49ers could certainly top the Colts while Indianapolis is quarterbacked by 44-year old Philip Rivers.

If the Bills take care of business, a playoff spot could be coming with a few weeks still to spare.
