It took a little while, but the NFL insiders have finally shared what's going on with Keon Coleman.
The news was already out that Coleman would be a healthy scratch for the Bills' Week 11 game on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
ESPN's Adam Schefter shared this on X at about 11:15 a.m. ET:
"Source: Bills WR Keon Coleman is inactive today because he missed a team meeting Friday morning. Until then, the Bills planned to play him, but their plans changed when he missed the meeting."
That's not ideal.
Coleman is just a second-year WR, and he's been pretty erratic so far in his Bills career.
The big athlete who was also a college basketball player will make huge, impressive plays and then go quiet for long stretches.
Coleman struggles to create separation, and Josh Allen has shied away in recent weeks from throwing back-shoulder attempts to Coleman, who doesn't always reel them in.
The Bills do get Joshua Palmer back Sunday, and they're expected to have Gabe Davis and Mecole Hardman active, too.
Now it'll be up to Coleman to show how he responds.
Does he learn a lesson here? Or does it spiral into more missed opportunities?
The Bills certainly hope this sends everyone toward a better future.
