Are the Baltimore Ravens waving the white flag?
At 1-4 on the season, they just traded away one of their top defensive playmakers.
The news was reported Tuesday afternoon by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport: Odafe Oweh is being traded to the Los Angeles Chargers.
The star pass rusher goes from one Harbaugh brother to the other.
Oweh put up a career-best 10.0 sacks in 2024. This season, he has yet to bring down a quarterback.

The deal has four total pieces, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter:
- Chargers get: Odafe Oweh, Rams 7th in 2027
- Ravens get: Alohi Gilman, Chargers 6th in 2026
It's logical for the Chargers to seek out a guy like Oweh. After beginning the season with three impressive wins, they have put up back-to-back disappointing losses. Adding some juice to the pass rush is a great way to try and bounce back.
The Ravens get Gilman to help out at safety, where injuries have left them very shorthanded. They also signed C.J. Gardner-Johnson on Tuesday to help out there.

Gilman has played all six of his NFL seasons with the Chargers, starting 39 of his 73 games. He has five career interceptions and 252 tackles.
It's not a total rebuild move, given that Gilman is a starter-level player, too.
But Oweh is the premium position guy being sent out of town. It's probably not a move the Ravens would've made if they were 4-1 and healthy.
But they aren't and so this deal has been swung. Maybe it'll make a difference.
