Ravens get massive NFL Draft steal with 'dream pick' of Georgia's Malaki Starks image

Malaki Starks was pretty much never put this low in a mock draft.

That's why ESPN's Matt Miller referred to him recently as the Baltimore Ravens "dream pick."

The Ravens had the No. 27 first-round spot. There was no way Starks would last that long. It was a dream.

Consider the dream come true.

That's exactly what happened on Thursday night in Green Bay. One of the best teams in the NFL got one of the best players in the draft.

Kyle Hamilton is the at-the-line safety for the Ravens. Starks becomes the centerfielder at the back of the defense.

On Bleacher Report's final big board, Starks ranked No. 4 in the entire draft, so it's a massive steal to get him 27th.

"I've got energy, I move around, I play at a high level," Starks said on ESPN, then called it "my dream" to play with Hamilton.

In 2024 for Georgia, Starks had 77 tackles, including four for loss.

He intercepted six passes across three seasons with the Bulldogs to go with 17 passes defensed.

And now Starks gets to join the Ravens, a franchise with a history of defensive legends. He may be next.
