Ravens' Lamar Jackson has baffling response to running more this season image

One of the things that makes Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson so special and dangerous on the football field is his dual-threat ability.

Just as easily as Lamar can slice you apart with his arm, he can just as easily break the back of a defense with a 40-yard run, and we have seen him do it so many times throughout his career.

Just not this season.

Having only 307 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, Lamar is on track to have his worst ever return running the ball and rushing attempts as we enter Week 15. Granted, he has been injured this season, but still, many expect more from Lamar as a runner.

But when asked if he can make more designed runs during games, and his trademark quarterback runs, Jackson's response, considering where the Ravens are in their season, was rather odd.

“We'll see how the game's going, see how I'm feeling,” Jackson said.

Really? That is rather interesting, given that Lamar's legs have been one of the most dangerous weapons in the NFL over the past five years.

Ravens need MVP Lamar vs. Bengals

Jackson, much like the offense, isn't in the best of form right now, but there is enough talent in that locker room to turn this ship around...but they're running out of time.

At 6-7, and needing to win out and hope the Pittsburgh Steelers stumble a little, the Ravens need MVP Lamar to show himself in the season's final four games.

Whether he is physically capable of that is unknown, especially from a running standpoint, but the Ravens need him to be everything he can be if they are to make the postseason.

Can Lamar do it? Absolutely.

But he hasn't shown he is capable of it this season.

So, what better time to remind everyone that the MVP juice is still there?
