The Baltimore Ravens had their playoff hopes in their grasp against the New England Patriots in the fourth quarter, up by double-digits, but John Harbaugh's team failed to hold onto it.

A 28-24 loss now likely condemns the Ravens to missing the postseason, especially after the Pittsburgh Steelers took care of the Detroit Lions earlier on Sunday.

After starting the year 1-5, the Ravens were always swimming against the tide, but they had a chance to keep themselves in the playoff race, but failed.

And for CBS Sports' John Breech, he's given Baltimore a generous "B-" grade for their loss to New England.

"The Ravens (7-8) might have just thrown their season away by blowing an 11-point lead over the final 10 minutes of the fourth quarter," Breech wrote.

Can Ravens still salvage season?

Yes, they can, but goodness me, they require some serious help to do it.

At 7-8, the Ravens' season looks to be over from a playoff perspective, with the Steelers winning, and barring a miracle, Harbaugh's team will be watching the postseason from the couch.

If, and that's a big if, the Steelers somehow lose their final two games, and the Ravens, who could be without Lamar, win their final two, then who knows how the regular season could end.

But right now, it is hard to see the Ravens getting into the postseason.

They had their chance against New England and blew it.
