Why Ravens' future outlook post-John Harbaugh is bright image

The Baltimore Ravens have undergone some changes this offseason, and it won't be stopping anytime soon.

John Harbaugh is out as head coach, making Baltimore one of the most sought-after openings in the NFL.

Who the Ravens get will tell us a lot about the franchise's trajectory post-Harbaugh, but with Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, Kyle Hamilton, and others, there's reason enough to think 2025 was just a blip on the radar.

For The Athletic's Saad Yousuf, he's given Baltimore's future outlook an 8/10.

"Obviously, the head coaching hire will contribute strongly to how the future outlook is viewed, and the same can be said for every team with an opening," Yousuf wrote. "But the Ravens have an elite quarterback in his prime and some competent pieces in place on both sides of the ball. That’s pressure on the next head coach to produce instant results."

Can Ravens expect immediate bounce-back in 2026?

I think so, and it isn't unfair to warrant it, either.

With Lamar, Henry, Hamilton, Mark Andrews, Zay Flowers, and others, there are key pieces to build around. But the biggest thing for the Ravens is getting healthy.

Jackson needs to play all 17 games. What is the prognosis on defensive stud Nnamdi Madubuike?

Health is Baltimore's biggest weapon, and we saw down the stretch that when they have health on their side, they can win games.

They just left too much to do after a 1-5 start.

So, it is easy to see a bright future for the Ravens, mainly due to Lamar. But they need him healthy.

They keep him fit, 2026 could be another playoff-bound season for Baltimore.
