The Baltimore Ravens got some great news on quarterback Lamar Jackson on Thursday.
Jackson set off alarm bells on Wednesday when he was absent for the Ravens' first practice of the week due to knee soreness. However, on Thursday, Jackson was back on the practice field and taking part, per ESPN's Jamison Hensley, who adds that Jackson was moving well and looks set to play this week.
"Ravens QB Lamar Jackson returned to practice Thursday," Hensley said. "He didn’t practice Wednesday because of knee soreness. But Jackson moved around well during media viewing and looks set to start Sunday at Browns."
Jackson's Thursday practice participation backs up what head coach John Harbaugh said on Wednesday, when he noted that Jackson should be fine and would return to practice the following day.
Jackson's exact participation level isn't known as of this writing, as the Ravens have yet to release their Thursday injury report. But clearly, he's going to be either limited or full, which is an upgrade from Wednesday.
Jackson overcoming his knee issue to play on Sunday is huge news for the Ravens, who have won three straight and are gaining ground on the Pittsburgh Steelers.
At 4-5, the Ravens are just one game back of the Steelers for first place in the AFC North. Pittsburgh and Baltimore have a pair of showdowns over the final five weeks of the season, one in Week 14 and another in Week 18.
