Lamar Jackson injury update: Ravens reveal latest on star QB image

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson hasn't had the best of seasons both on and off the field, and as the 2025 season draws to a close, No. 8 is again in the injury wars.

Suffering what head coach John Harbaugh called a "back contusion" in the loss to the New England Patriots that took him out of the game before halftime, all eyes are on Lamar at Ravens practice this week.

And on Tuesday, things don't appear to be traveling in the right direction.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Jackson didn't participate in the team's walkthrough and is far from a sure thing for Week 17.

Tyler Huntley stepped in and played well against the Patriots, and right now, it feels like Tyler is about to get another NFL start this week.

Will Lamar Jackson play in Week 17?

Right now, you would have to say Jackson is facing a race against time to play against the Green Bay Packers.

At 7-8 and with their playoff hopes on the line, can Lamar get to a point where he can play over the next couple of days? The fact that he couldn't even participate in a walkthrough on Tuesday likely tells us that he is seriously struggling with his issue.

Still, there is time for Lamar to heal and be good to go for the Packers.

But right now, I wouldn't bet against Lamar sitting this one out.
