Lamar Jackson injury update for Friday: Ravens star on track to sit in Week 6 image

Another day, another negative injury update for Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Jackson suffered a hamstring injury in the Week 4 game against the Kansas City Chiefs and has yet to return to practice since then.

Jackson is reportedly expected to miss multiple games with his injury, so the expectation was he would once again sit in Week 6.

Unfortunately, that projection looks set to come to fruition.

Lamar Jackson injury update for Friday

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Jackson is once again sidelined at practice on Friday, which means he is highly unlikely to play against the Los Angeles Rams.

"Once again, no Lamar Jackson at today’s practice, putting Cooper Rush in line to start Sunday vs. the Rams," Schefter wrote.

With Jackson sidelined again, Baltimore will be forced to roll with Cooper Rush, who was not good in Week 5. Barring something unforeseen, the Ravens are looking at a 1-5 record once Sunday is in the books.

The next time we could see Jackson is in Week 8, as the Ravens have a bye in Week 7, which is a blessing because it means Jackson will get an extra week to get right without having to miss another game.

It has not been confirmed, but we can't imagine Jackson not being back out of the bye. And, quite frankly, he has to be, as the Ravens' playoff hopes are already hanging by a thread, especially if they lose once again on Sunday.
