Lamar Jackson helped the Baltimore Ravens claim a dominant 28-6 win over the Miami Dolphins on his eagerly-awaited return to the team.

After missing the last three Ravens games with a hamstring problem, the two-time MVP put on a strong display at Hard Rock Stadium on Thursday Night Football (October 30).

The 28-year-old registered four touchdown passes and threw for 204 yards on 18/23 completions, as he looked to be already getting back to his usual self.

Jacksons's efficient Week 9 showing against the Dolphins was impressive considering he had not played an NFL game in over a month.

The injury that he suffered in a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in late September saw him miss subsequent games against the Houston Texans, Los Angeles Rams and Chicago Bears.

John Harbaugh's men mostly struggled without their star quarterback, as they fell to the Texans and Rams, putting up just a combined 13 points in those two losses.

However, Thursday's victory following up on a win over the Bears last week means the Ravens move to 3-5 for the year and keep their playoff hopes alive.

After putting on an impressive four-touchdown display against the Dolphins, Jackson touched on how he felt about returning to the Ravens line-up.

"I just wanted to put points on the board. I didn't want to start off to slow," the quarterback told the media post-game.

"I wanted to get out there with my guys, (for the) Texans game but unfortunately I couldn't. But it's just great to be back."

Jackson then allayed any fears about a potential recurrence of his recent hamstring injury after having to scramble away from the Dolphins defence at one point in the first half.

"It felt great (his hamstring). I didn't have any problems. I was feeling good out there."

The Ravens superstar will now be hoping he and his teammates can continue stacking wins and claim the top spot in the AFC North away from current division leaders, the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Next up for Harbaugh's men is a trip to take on the Minnesota Vikings in Week 10 (November 9).
