With John Harbaugh and the Baltimore Ravens parting ways, some of the focus was on the head coach and his relationship with Lamar Jackson.

There were reports of friction between the pair, though it was never proven. So, there are a lot of avenues to go down to find a reason Harbaugh was moved on.

Could it have been that he and Lamar didn't see eye to eye? Possibly.

Could it have been other factors? Sure.

But ESPN's Jeremy Fowler has offered a little insight into the relationship Harbaugh and Lamar had in his latest piece.

"What seems clear is that Harbaugh appears at peace with leaving, ready for a new challenge," Fowler wrote. "My sense is he didn't always feel appreciated in the final years in Baltimore.

"Despite reported friction between Harbaugh and Lamar Jackson, one team source believed Jackson and Harbaugh were actually in a decent place overall and that Harbaugh worked over the years at maintaining a relationship with his QB."

Times are changing in Baltimore

For some, the writing was on the wall for Harbaugh entering this season.

Multiple playoff failures over the years, and then the 1-5 start. Not to mention the same voice in the locker room for 18 years.

So, in a sense, change was always going to come. Some just didn't think this quickly.

But now the band-aid has been ripped off, the franchise can begin looking for Harbaugh's replacement.

There will be no shortage of candidates with this job being easily the most coveted in the NFL.

The winds of change have blown through Baltimore's franchise, and who knows, maybe there's more to come.
