Baltimore Ravens' historic defensive ineptitude summed up in one stat image

The Baltimore Ravens have a ton of problems as they head into a Week 5 game against the Houston Texans.

The biggest one at this very moment is the injury to quarterback Lamar Jackson, who reportedly could miss multiple weeks with a hamstring issue.

But the biggest problem over the first four games has been the defense, which ranks dead last in points allowed per game with an abysmal 33.3 surrendered per contest.

That stat tells enough, but there is one that's even more ugly and sums up just how historically bad Baltimore's unit has been this season.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Ravens have given up 35 or more points in three games this season, which is already tied for the most in a single season in franchise history.

Unfortunately for the Ravens, things don't figure to get any better anytime soon, either.

Baltimore lost star defender Nnamdi Madubuike for the season due to a neck injury, linebacker Kyle Van Noy hasn't played since Week 2 and linebacker Roquan Smith and cornerbacks Nate Wiggins and Marlon Humphrey all sustained injuries during the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport revealed on Monday that both Humphrey and Smith are expected to miss multiple games, so the hits just keep on coming.

Along with Jackson, left tackle Ronnie Stanley is another player to keep an eye on when it comes to injuries on offense.

Usually, we would have at least some hope that the Ravens can score their way out of their defensive issues, but if Jackson and Stanley are out for Week 5 or longer, not even that will be possible.
