When is Drake London coming back? Injury update, return timeline for Falcons WR image

The Atlanta Falcons are navigating their fourth-straight game in Week 15 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers without the services of their top wideout, Drake London.

London suffered a PCL strain in his knee back in Week 11 that forced his early exit from the contest and he hasn't played or practiced since then.

As the Falcons prepare to turn the page to Week 16 once they get finished with the Buccaneers on Thursday night, here's what we know about London's chances of returning to the lineup next Sunday.

When is Drake London coming back?

Return timeline: Probably Week 16

While London's inability to practice at all this week isn't a good sign for his chances of suiting up, there are reasons to think he will be back in Week 16.

For starters, head coach Raheem Morris has considered London day to day for a few weeks now, so he doesn't appear to be far off.

Adding to that, the Falcons will have a mini-bye ahead of Week 16 thanks to their game on Thursday, so that gives London extra time to get right.

One thing that is troubling is the Falcons don't really have a reason to bring him back, which leaves the door slightly ajar for them to shut him down entirely.

After all, Atlanta is eliminated from playoff contention, and with Michael Penix Jr. Out for the season, bringing back London to help with Penix's development isn't a thing.

On the flip side of that, Morris needs to finish this season strong with his seat being at least warm, so he has every reason to bring his top wideout back.

We should get our next update on London no later than next Wednesday, when the Falcons drop their first Week 16 injury report.
