The most expensive backup QB in the NFL might get a shot.
The Atlanta Falcons' Kirk Cousins had to prepare to come into the game in the second half on Sunday.
Michael Penix Jr. Was hurt, which means Cousins might have to play.

Michael Penix Jr. Injury update
Penix was hurt on the final offensive play of a drive, so there was a bit of delay to see what happened next.
But he had to go to the blue medical tent.
The Athletic's Josh Kendall described it on X:
"Michael Penix Jr. Couldn't make it all the way off the field after that tackle. He was attended to by trainers and appeared to be grabbing his knee. He's walking under his own power to the blue tent now."
Penix was announced as having a knee injury and being questionable to return.
Cousins came to the Falcons for the 2024 season on a four-year, $180 million contract.
Then the Falcons took Penix No. 8 overall in the ensuing NFL Draft.
Cousins started most of last season, but he threw 16 INTs and Penix took over by the end of the year.
This season, Penix has been the unquestioned QB1 but has been inconsistent.
If the Falcons turn to Cousins, it might not be a huge drop off.
