The Atlanta Falcons are looking at multiple big decisions when this season concludes.

Several skilled Falcons players will see their contracts expire, making them eligible for free agency following the conclusion of the 2025 season.

Speculation has often centered on Kyle Pitts, yet it appears the Falcons are inclined to release him.

Another pending free agent, though: Kaden Elliss.

Elliss is a skilled linebacker. Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox suggests that Elliss is the individual the Falcons ought to prioritize retaining during the offseason.

"It might behoove Atlanta to let Pitts test a free-agent market deep at his position before making an offer," Knox writes. "Locking up linebacker Kaden Elliss, however, would be quite sensible. Elliss is one of the more underrated players headed to market, but he's a terrific do-it-all defender for the Falcons. He's already racked up 74 tackles, 3.5 sacks and an interception this season. While he'll be 31 in July, the Falcons would be wise to keep him away from free agency."

Atlanta faces additional significant concerns. Will quarterback Michael Penix Jr. Be fit for the opening game? Furthermore, is he truly their long-term franchise quarterback?

Consideration will be given to possibly substituting Pitts, and perhaps to acquiring a superior second wide receiver over Darnell Mooney.

Consequently, if the Falcons manage to secure Elliss with a fresh agreement, that alleviates one concern.
