TL;DR
- Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London is out for Week 13.
- Kirk Cousins will play with a depleted wide receiver roster.
- Deven Thompkins was elevated from the practice squad to the gameday lineup.
- Thompkins has limited NFL receiving experience with the Buccaneers and Panthers.
The Atlanta Falcons haven't had an idea season as far as wide receiver injuries go.
That continues in Week 13. Drake London is out.
The Falcons are also, naturally, missing Michael Penix Jr., meaning that reserve signal-caller Kirk Cousins will be working with a wide receiver roster that doesn't even feature London.
On Saturday, Atlanta elevated a wide receiver from their practice squad, adding him to the gameday lineup.
The new guy: Deven Thompkins.

Thompkins was originally undrafted in 2022 out of Utah State.
He originally signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In his rookie season, he made five catches for 32 yards.
In 17 games in 2023 with the Bucs, Thompkins had 17 catches for 83 yards.
He played just seven games in 2024 with the Carolina Panthers and had four catches for 20 yards.

Thompkins had only been elevated one other game this year, and he didn't have a catch.
Thompkins might contribute to special teams at this juncture, possibly seeing a few offensive plays as well.
The difficult situation Atlanta is facing is evident in their need to promote a wide receiver from the practice squad. This is certainly not what Atlanta had hoped for during this particular period of the season.
