The Falcons have a Bijan Robinson problem

To be clear, Bijan Robinson is pretty much a superhero.

But for the Atlanta Falcons, in a backwards sort of way, that's a bit of a problem.

It's not about Robinson himself. It's about the fact that the Falcons don't seem to win without Robinson having a gigantic game.

On Sunday night, he had 92 total yards and a touchdown, and the Falcons lost.

"When the Falcons have been at their best this season, their offense has gotten contributions from multiple players, especially wide receiver Drake London and running back Tyler Allgeier," ESPN's Marc Raimondi writes. "Robinson has been spectacular this season; on Sunday, he was merely very good (40 yards rushing, 52 yards receiving and a TD). If Robinson has to be otherworldly for the Falcons to win games, that's not the greatest recipe for success. Atlanta really needs quarterback Michael Penix Jr. To play with more consistency."

It's fair to expect greatness out of Robinson. He is great.

But the Falcons were at pretty much full offensive health on Sunday night, and they still couldn't find a way past a 49ers team that's still without its starting quarterback.

Robinson seemed to understand this in his pregame interview with NBC.

He was asked, in a couple different ways, why he's been so good.

First, he credited God, then he added in credit for his offensive line.

But then, as any good team leader does, he made his other answers about his team. He knows this is a team sport where he can't do it all himself.

Now the Falcons have to show that the rest of the roster is capable of keeping up with Robinson.
